San Diego Weekend

It's nice to get away and be with the most beautiful woman in the world for a weekend. Since Carrie had a seminar for work down there a couple of weeks ago, I met her on a Thursday. We went to Old Town, ate incredible carne asada (read it and weep you poor Utah bound Heywoods), and went to the beach.

While Carrie is one of my favorite photographers behind the lens, she is one of my favorite subjects in front of it too. I'm a lucky guy.

Here are some of the shots we took over the weekend:

Wow.
She would have made a great explorer.

Not much of a beach, but a great view. The ocean's not bad either.

It was about 150 feet down I think.

She got out on that thing for me. That's true love.

Grandpa Heywood used to make little men out of nuts and bolts he would weld together. He was ahead of his time. He would have appreciated these little guys.

I love watching her.

I love watching her. Again.

Carrie fell in love with these tin stars that have lights in them. She was like a kid mesmerized by a Christmas tree.

More Nuts and Bolts guys.

One for Matt.

There's actually some good Mexican food in Utah. Just not at Taco Bell. Even here in Rexburg there's some good stuff. Down the road from us is a taco shop in an old delivery truck, Tacos Tepito. Dang good stuff. I go for the carnitas, myself.

I don't know if I ever saw grandpa's nuts and bolts men. Are they around still?

I would have jumped off that rock into the ocean.

Joe, you could have added that to your list: #51 I once jumped off a big rock into the ocean and was promptly tossed by the raging surf against the jagged cliffs, and was torn to shreds like a paper doll.
