Some Favorites #1

You take tons of pictures and nobody ever sees them. So here are some of our favorites from the past couple of years. (more to come later as this thing takes forever to put pictures in a post). You should really click on these to see them bigger. Also, for Scott and some of you who have asked about camera stuff, most of these were taken with a Canon Rebel XT, our first DSLR, (you can get one for a few hundred bucks now) and probably the kit lens that came with the camera, or a $79 50mm lens. So you don't have to spend a lot of money. There may be a couple of these that were taken with nicer equipment, but you may not be able to tell. Anyway, hope you have fun.

Cameron is a complete crack up.

I wonder where he gets it?

Vince and Zenaida and their beautiful little Felicity

Ashlynn loves her little cousins

This picture was taken three days after Dwight had ingested an entire five pound block of cheese.

You're never too old.

Spencer what did you find? An Easter Bird?

Carrie at the Wrigley Monument at Catalina. She's pretty

Get out the camera and Elise starts posing.

The kids love going to Haywood Valley Georgia, and driving around the 70 acre hay field. They love neighbor Pat and her quads too. (thanks Pat)

My supermodel wife

Sadie showing what parenthood (and true love) is all about.

Eric's supermodel

At the one-room school house. Don't you wish this was your classroom?

I love these people.

Look at the prices on the wall too.

This was right after they dragged Ashlynn's quad out of the five foot deep ditch she drove it in. The ditch is right behind her, but you can't see to well since it's filled with all the green stuff.

And they love the creek

So that's what Cherokee sounds like.

Grandpa Louis playing around

Still playing around while Granny Rindy tries to get the kids organized.

And finally, all the cousins.

yum

Ymmmm

Lauren still learning how to roast marshmallows. I'm sure it will taste good.

Lauren taught Ansley how to roast.

That thing will eventually hatch about a million spiders which will grow to be about the size of a quarter. And they will climb all over the trees. I know because Trent almost rowed our canoe into a spider-infested tree when we were fishing on the creek. There were hundreds of them on each branch and as we got closer to the tree (Trent's head was actually in the branches), they began moving in on us, their creepy legs clinging to the branches, waiting to jump on us. David screamed like a little girl (it must have been him because I never would), and Trent figured out what was going on. We almost died that day.

Waiting out the rain so we can go hike some more.

And the rain stopped. But thanks to the rain, it looks like this.

If you've ever read the Book of Mormon you may find these plaques from Fort Mountain Georgia to be a bit interesting.

The only picture of me I like.

Get out of the car and go stand over there.

Crazy cousins

Mom and her boys.

yumm

Out the back door. Nice morning clouds.

Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Like Lincoln.

Ashlynn and Kaylee

Tanner being Tanner. Glimpses of Todd as a boy?

Jameson doing his thing.

Is this a Heywood thing or a Campbell thing? Or both?

If Taylor doesn't know you're aiming a camera at him, you might get this.

Look at this crawfish, Ashlynn.

Elise and Papa Louie

Everone was surprised she let Dad hold her that night.

Two beauties

Elise fishes like crazy in Georgia. Notice that I am not hodling the rod. She wants to do it all by herself.

And she's good at it too.

Ashlynn in her natural habitat

Matt in his natural habitat

My supermodel again

A series of Elise a couple of weeks ago running down the hill. She did this over and over and fell every time. I particularly like the ones of her boucing, with her hair flying over her head.

The Bounce

This is my favorite and deserves a closer look.

I love them. What are the last ones though?

You just had to show the one of Spencer flippin' the bird. Nice. The things you learn on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood. Good ol' Fred.

Loved them. I should do the same : I have soooooo many photos no one has ever seen.

My two faves were (1) Cindy's navel, and (2) Elise's impossibly big big hair in the second to last photo.

Thanks for sharing.

That was fun stuff. The second to last photo of Elise got the biggest laugh from us, but the Rudolph photos weren't far behind.

I like all of these pictures, but my favorite is of Ashlynn and the crawfish. There is a whole story being told through the individual faces of Jim, Matt, and Ashlynn. It is obvious that some enjoyed this experience more than others.

Everytime I see Jim's face it tells me a story.
