KEEP OFF THE GRASS

People just don't get it
KEEP OFF THE GRASS!
Eating their picnic lunches
then leaving their trash behind
Romping children that
Pluck the leaves of my grass
KEEP OFF THE GRASS!
Distorting my blades
with the pressure of their shoes
cutting into my back while they work, play, or pray
Never saying "thank you" for the sacrifice
People just don't get it
KEEP OFF THE GRASS!
Unless you humans can
love each individual blade of grass
the loyalty of each blade of grass
and the comfort that each gives
without trying to mold, cut, and reshape
because you think you know what is best for me...
KEEP OFF THE GRASS!
Blades of grass have feelings too.

I have sympathy for grass. What can I say?

Thats not all they don't get.

Stop, Speed limit, no left turn, etc...
if they won't care for a single blade of grass, what makes you think they care enough about other people, that they would simply obey the signs to avoid putting someone elses life at risk.

Dave, you are one with Obi-Wan or is it one with the universe? Amazing.I bet your tickets are made out of recycled paper and your lawn is watered everyday.

Emma- the grass is symbolic. Go from there. Think 8th grade poetry.

Karleigh-

The blades of grass apologize. They don't mean to be itchy they just are.
